While our Design Department is using NX we are looking for a viewer that has measuring capabilities for parasolids and step files for the rest of the company. Does anyone use a viewer for their non-design departments?

With NX Viewer you have the same measure capabilities as with a "Normal" NX CAD license.

You can open up NX parts but also parasolids with NX Viewer.

We use autovue.

We have a couple of licenses for the NX Viewer. It works well for users that only need to review existing models or drawings. No import/export of models just open the file and review what you need. You can measure, use the edit section, review drawings etc..
No it is not free but you get what you pay for.
