Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can provide me with manufacturers (name, brand and location) of 4 offset Butterfly Valves - Quadruple Eccentric.

I had Literature of an European manufacturer, however i let a colleague borrow it and is lost. I don't remember the name ether.
I also tried searching on Google without success.

Thank you in advance for your help on this.

What is the 4th offset? This is also new for me.

Have you read FAQ731-376 to make the best use of Eng-Tips Forums?

I'm having a hard time imagining how there could be four eccentric motions in a butterfly valve, given the number of moving parts.

I could imagine there being four physical eccentrics, arranged as two pairs, at extremes of the disc and shaft.

UNSR60001,
it is only six years I'm in the valve business, but I've never heard about Quadruple Offset valve design, me too.

Whatever it is, to me it sounds like a fancy mistake or a marketing invention without much technical meaning...(?)

In any case, many good discussions have been carried out within this Forum about Triple Offset valve design already. See, for example:

- thread408-64692 about the type of design in general;

- thread408-145006 about advantages and disadvantages;

- thread408-135872 about the most important Manufacturers;

- thread408-141966 for a trouble-shooting case study;

- thread408-149142 about the control characteristic;

- thread819-149326 about the sealing mechanism.
