Hi,
I am looking for a wrench 4" supplier. This wrench must be connectable on a torque wrench.
Do you know one ?
Thanks

Eric

Proto makes 1 ½” drive sockets that large. We have found it less expensive to fabricate them from A514 plate.

The customer wants a standard tool.
Thanks for "Proto", I was forgotten it !

Thanks a lot for these web sites.
Do you know if it is possible to find a 4" wrench in crowfoot type ? ... always connectable to a torque wrench

Looks like we are going to have to put (2) 2" togather to make a 4" as the largest readily available is 21/2". Supposedly the hydraulic ratchet wrench put the large crowfoot out of business. The ones that remember from work were for high pressure filters and were made by a company no longer in existence. I’ve got another query out.

PS I got a 31/2" open end if you have a stretcher.

What do you need a stretcher for, carry a dead body or what?

unclesyd,
what do you call a stretcher ?
sorry I'm a french guy and I am afraid I don't understand your previous post ...

for your information, it is for high pressure hydraulic filters

Pardon me as I sometimes forget the Universal aspect of Eng-tips.

BillPSU, sorry about that.
This is part of a US saying when one ends up with something
too short, like when you cut a pipe too short most of the time someone will make the comment that we need to get a "pipe stretcher".

daunay,
I should have made this a little statement a little clearer. The crowfoot wrench was used to operate a high pressure (10,000 psi) filter when the original operating mechanism failed. The filter had internal parts that had to be rotated to clean.

Now I get to eat crow. I knew exactly what you meant by a stretcher. It was my feeble attempt at humor which failed.

Sorry
Bill

I have called out for the appropriate stretcher many times, but Bubba was out looking for a sky hook.

Great links above, unclesyd, thanks

(pipe, drill, wrench, cord) stretcher?? Oh, thats all the way at the other end of the building. I think _______ is using it. Why don't you walk down there and find out?!!!
