440c vs 420HC galling

Looking at using 440C or 420HC for an application of sleeve and bushing on a large universal joint for a bottom drive auger in an abrasive application. Sleeve is press fit onto the cross, bushing is stationary in the yoke. RPM is about 30 rpm, motion is a 15 degree back and forth rotation. Which material is best to prevent galling, should I mix the two, one for the shaft one for the bushing, what rockwell difference is best, and what finish profile is recommended.

Is the auger assembly used for road paving? If so,then the shaft protection cover is low carbon steel casting,all other parts excepting the auger are made in ASTM A148grade 90/60.
 
The application is a bottom drive auger on a chemical vessel. The vessel is cone shaped, and the auger is driven from the bottom, and rotated along the inner wall by a top swing arm. The mixture is a paint pigment, 50/50 solids/water, somewhat gritty. The vessel walls and the auger are 304 SS with no corrosion problems. Application for the sleeve and bushing much be 'run dry' as lubricants would contaminate the product.
