7.5.4.4: Extension line gap

I have one part file that is behaving a bit oddly in drafting. I get the correct gap between the object lines and dimension extension lines if I pull the dimension up or to the right. If I pull down or to the left I don't get a gap. I have played with associativety and that doesn't change anything. I can adjust the gap size and it changes as it should but if I then take that same dimension and pull it down under the view and change the associativety so that it is on the appropriate side of the object the gap disappears.

I just upgraded to 7.5.4.4 so I'm not sure if this is a result of that upgrade or if it is a setting in the drafting standard that I'm missing.

Sorry, just realized this only happens with a dimension extension line that is associated with a center mark. The behavior with object lines is normal. It is only the extension line comming from the center mark that gains or looses the gap depending on which way I pull it.

I think what happens when using the center point is that the system waits until you place the dimension to determine which end to place the 'gap', but once you place the dimension the first time, it remains associated with that end of the line/edge even if you move the dimension later.

Ok, that makes sense with what I'm seeing. Has it always been like that? This is the first time I've noticed it.

I couldn't really say. I've not heard of anyone making any changes in this are so I suspect that this behavior has been around for a while.
