7zip freeware archiver compresses 49.1 MB DWG folder to 3.5 MB 1

Hi everyone,

I just used 7zip

http://www.7-zip.org/

to compress a folder with 41.9 MB of DWG files in it, down to a size of 3.5 MB. I used the "maximum" compression setting, and there was still an "ultra" setting that will compress the files down more than this.

I just wanted to pass this along to the group, because it seems to work great for transmitting large DWG files via email or internet.
