8090-T8511 Al/Li EXTRUSION

Fellow Stress Engineers:

I need to perform a fatigue analysis on a component made from the above material but I do not have access to suitable SN data. 2014A-T4 extrusion is quoted on the design drawing as an alternate and has similar static strength properties. Can anyone advise as to whether it is similar to 8090 fatigue-wise? If it is not, is there another material which is fairly close to 8090 in fatigue?

You need to contact Alcan Aerospace. They have fatigue data on their products.
