A good introduction to slab design from SAP2000 results

Hello.

I've worked with SAP2000 for a while (mostly beam and collumn design) and fiddled with ETABS occasionaly and I'm looking for a good example/tutor in designing slabs from SAP2000/ETABS results.

The thing is, I fell confident in SAP2000 results for linear elements but not so much for its 2D elements (areas).

Anyway, besides that I have the following doubt. Can ETABS handle slope slabs like ramps or starways? Even with slope beams?

Both programs will give you shell forces, but I think CSi's idea is for you to use SAFE for design. You can directly export from ETABS to SAFE. Their watch & learn tutorials are great for getting started.

Can I analyse in ETABS an inclined or a sloped shell/plate?

I don't think so. I know the location of this command in ETABS and don't see it in SAP, which I have open right now.

I'm pretty sure you can, but every example I've seen was using the shells to create a floor diaphragm, not for slab design.
