a laboratory balance 1

Hello,

I am seeking a laboratory balance with nearly 4000g capacity and 1mg resolution. I searched for the brands like scaltec, sartorius but could not find.

There may not be one having this much capacity and such a low resolution, but, nevertheless, I wonder anyone - closer to satate of art than me - knowing such a laboratory balance..??

I have enough money to accomodate .. Main problem is if there exists such a device.. Do you know a brand name or something..

You're asking for resolution of ~ 1 part in 4 million. At that level, you're talking not just fancy electronics, but also control of the environment within the scale, and probably the surrounding building.

I'd postulate that there's hope. You'd only need 7 or 8 X "Sartorius ME614S Analytical Balance" from, say, analytical.balances.com to weigh your sample in parts right now.

If the volume of, ahem, informal, drug traffic goes up less than an order of magnitude, and the price doesn't go down, the scale makers will probably offer something to your spec as soon as they figure out how to make it. Once the volume is there, they can probably get the price down to ~$100,000 USD.
