Referencing the above thread, did we have any conclusions on the use of Rotary Valves and Shredded paper ? I ask also working on a small project that requires an Air Lock (Rotary Valve) to feed shredded paper from underneath a cyclone.

Most of my experience with rotary valves on cyclones has been with grain, feed mill products or sawdust. A lot here would depend on the particle size of the shredded paper. You may have a problem with the larger particle sizes jamming the vanes of the rotary airlock.

My experience with rotary valves is that they are pretty damn robust with great seals because they are usually design to handle harsh conditions. I don't see a rotary valve jamming from paper.
