A2 has become magnetic after hardening and tempering

Would anybody have any idea as to why A2 would become magnetic after being hardened? It's something I havent come across before, yet the hardening of this material is something I've seen plenty of times?

It's has to be magnetic after it cools down.

I think that you mean magnetized. If a ferromagnetic material is cooled from above the curie temperature in a magnetic field it will become magnetized. And yes, the earth's field is enough to do this.
Simply demangnetize the parts after heat treatment.
