We just are finishing a big job on a church aaon equipment 6 ton up to 22 ton . I have 10 units at site and my problem is charging ? I have been told 8 to 15 superheat and 12 to 18 subcooling . The start up tech went straight to 18 subcooling and 15 to 20 on superheat? The question i have is the compressors are slugging at start up ? So i took trane advise 10 to 12 on sub started going thru systems and found 2 with no sub cooling at about 70 od temp and they still slug at start up? What am i doing wrong first time on this equipment
