Hello All
I am trying to drill a small part where the rotating drill goes inside the part nearly half of the thickness of the part. So far the simulation worked fine however the elements are deleted from only the first layer of the part mesh not further on (irrespective of the mesh density). I can see the drill going inside but not doing anything. Please can somebody inform me what could be the cause?
Secondly, I cannot see the chips flying either though i have called the STATUS field output. I am using Abaqus 6.12-2/CAE with dynamic Explicit capabilities.
