Hello, I am new to abaqus and trying to simulate a compression deformation of an import FE model. I defined material properties as a hyperelastic rubber like material, set contact to general contact, modeled two compression plates as analytical rigid bodies, define boundary conditions as top plate displacement down toward bottom plate. the contact is set to be general contact everywhere. It always failed and when I check the result the plate seems to not be able to deform the FE model.
The aim is very simple, just to have the FE model deform and the mesh must be tet, other things are all changeable. The mesh itself have small parts inside a larger mesh, and are different stifness value. If there is a better way to model this situation it is still good.
