Hi!

I'm working on a problem where a plate modelled with shell elements (S4R) is dropped into an Eulerian domain filled with water. I want to find the hydrodynamic pressure/fluid pressure on the plate during the impact. Is this possible? I have tried to look through the field output variables, but am unsure of if one of these displays the hydrodynamic pressure.

I appreciate your help very much:)

The SVAVG or PRESSVAVG output variable will show you the pressure distribution in the Eulerian domain.

Yes, I have managed to get the pressure in the Eulerian domain. The question is, however, how to get the pressure on the plate, but thank you for your answer.

I know, I was thinking about checking it in the Eulerian elements right next to the plate. But you can also try with CPRESS (contact pressure). Interaction between Eulerian and Lagrangian domain is modeled using general contact, after all.
