Dear all,

I'm trying to add a time dependant heat flux load onto a surface using heat flux data(point data) that I obtained from a fire simulation in Fire Dynamic Simulator. I feel that I should be using the mapped field option to apply the heat flux distribution. But my problem is when we defining the mapped field we can only use a single amplitude function. But it varys in the plane from point to point. So is there a way to incorporate multiple amplitudes when we are using a mapped field? Or is there any other way we can directly feed a time dependant point data file?

I highly appreciate if you can assist me
Thanks in advance.

In such a case it might be necessary to use the DFLUX subroutine or maybe even the UMDFLUX one (there's also a built-in version of it meant for additive manufacturing process simulations).

FEA way,
thanks alot for your suggestion. I will look into it.
