ABAQUS WELDING

Hi, I am trying to model axisymmetric transient heat transfer analysis for tig welding with multiple passes. I am stuck on generating steps on welding passes (i.e element death and birth technique). Please advice me how to do, I am also wondering it is supported by ABAQUS CAE or not.

I tried to install that plugin way back but the version kind of mis-match. I contacted the abaqus people see what they say. Thanks for the reply.

If I remember correctly the plug-in just automates some tasks so if you read up on it you can probably do it by hand. I think the gist was that you have all the weld beads in the simulation with very low modulus. Then increase the current weld bead's modulus and cool. Continue this one bead at a time. I hope this helps.
