Can some bdy tell me the purpose of porcupine analysis, and on what the result depends on....

The procupine analysis on a curve is the analysis of the curvature.

See wikipedia curvature here

The value on 1 pt is the value of the curvature (or the radius according to option)

The direction of the analysis on 1 pt is toward the center of the tangent circle at that pt.
