I am dealing a simple beam problem about displacements. However, I can't get the right answer. I think it is very likely due to the units changes. Some of friends also get different answers although they did not think they change the input properties and only change the numbers in different units. I don't know why. I think Sap 2000 should be able to deal with inputs in different units.

Could somebody give me some reasonable explanation about this? Thanks a lot.

it is ...
even if u put many items with diffirent units..sap2000 still able to organize 'm and give u what u r looking for
check the values of (m.o.elasticity) , stiffness, poison ratio ..maybe they made the difference between the results

I think before you define/assign a parameter, make sure the unit at the right-bottom of the main window is what you expected and also make some neccessary change.

in my opinion the simple beam problem can not get correct ans. due to change in modulus of elasticity and slef wt. of beam. some case it is cosider also.and also someone can give some value in multiplyar.
