Are there any abrasion resistant carbon steels such as AR235 that are considered 'code grade' and would be listed in ASME Section II D? I'm not sure what designation to look for in II D. Customer is wanting the cone of the pressure vessel to be made out of abrasion resistant steel.

I saw an old thread about lining a vessel with abrasion resistant steel which might be an option.

Thanks,
Dale

There are no pressure retaining materials that you seek which are the AR Grades. Line the vessel cone.

Metengr, Thanks for the response.

Probably would be a good idea to line the first 3-ft or so above the cone. Pretty cheap during fabrication, pretty expensive after the vessel has been in-service and been eroded.
