Hello,

I'm looking for a formula that relates pipe material properties and service to erosion rates due to an abrasive slurry.

Erosive properties of a slurry depend on characteristics of both your particulate and medium. And when considering the medium, it is not only the bulk properties that are important, but corrosivity can also be important.

There are too many variables involved to give you a direct answer. Your best bet would be to perform a literature search, being as specific as possible about your system (media, piping material etc).
 
If you can contact Sala International AB Sweden,they have a lot of information available on slurry wear. Remember,the influence of several parameters will ultimately determine wear rate,there is no, one controlling factor.I used to manufacture slurry pump parts for them.

i don't know exactly what you mean by slurry but there are standards to evaluate the erosion effect of a fluid in process piping.
