Hi everybody
I'am simulating Cylindrical composite with external force or blunt impact.
My material is Fiberglass-epoxy with fail stress. And my simulation method is Dynamic explicit.
Now my question is:
How could i know the amount of energy this composite absorbed from that impact or force?
With Best Regards.

I think that it would be best to request history output of all available energies (total energy output) to study their contribution to the whole system energy and also check whether the analysis is correct or not. To study the amount of energy absorbed from impact you will be mostly interested in ALLPD (plastic dissipation) and ALLKE (kinetic energy)
