I want to add a set of values (input as an attribute in a block for two or more of those blocks) and show the result (in a table on the drawing) either as a visible attribute or any other possible format.

[e.g. a circuit panel which has several blocks with each block's voltage shown as an attribute.]

Anyone know what's the best way to do this?

Thanks Greatly!

What Version of AutoCAD do you have?
If you have 2000 or greater in the express tools in the block section there is a command call sync attributed block to table.
This works great for me, it even puts the info in a pretty table.
You can download the express tool from the Autodesk web site.
good luck,
Cassy

CADQUEEN,

I'm using AutoCAD 2002. I would quickly purchase the Express Tools if I knew it'd give the results I'm looking for.

So what you're telling me is that by using the "sync attributed block to table", it would add up those values and show the result on a table within the drawing file (i.e. not in an Excel or other software file). If I change a value, woulc / could it recalculate and update the result? Is this table automatically generated?
