Hello, I'm looking for a accelerometer model which has 4-20 mA + HART output, suitable for Zone 1 and 2, but with INMETRO certification (legal reasons).

I tried looking in Bently Nevada's, Emerson/PCB's catalogues and some general Google search, but it seems I'm out of luck, hardly any of them have a HART output, and those who have it don't provide INMETRO certification.

Does anyone have some model or supplier that I could look into? We're from Brazil, but supplier's location is not a problem.

Thanks in advance!

Perhaps there is an alternative to the HART protocol? I have never used HART for anything other than configuration of instruments. Endress + Hauser offers the INMETRO certification. If not available with HART, many of their devices support Ethernet I/P protocol, and perhaps some others like PROFIBUS or DeviceNET. Many Emerson devices offer MODBUS communication option, but this is not in addition to 4-20 mA, but rather instead of that. None of the protocols I mentioned will work with a 2 conductor shielded cable.

It's all okay as long as it's okay.

Can you buy the instrument you need and then get the certification post sale?

@thebard3 HART is mandatory per customer standards.

@Jason.sprigg I didn't think of that, I'll see if it's feasable.
