Acceptable load on wood bridge

I'm a non-engineer looking for some guidance-- Will be building a bridge to my house over a creek, and am wondering if a deck made of pressure-treated 4x6's or 4x8's would be able to handle the weight of delivery trucks? They would be over 4 large steel beams with 6" flanges. The beams would be 32" oc, so there would be 26" of unsupported wood between the beams. Will this work? Many thanks for any help

How much do the delivery trucks weigh? How long are the trucks?

I guess a fire truck would be the biggest thing to design for. 40,000 lbs maybe? The bridge will be around 30' long, 10' wide.

Here is a link to free publications can be order hardcopy or downloaded pdf file. The 1st publication has detailed design for timber truss bridges. Other publications have many good ideas. Hopefully you can pull a design right out the book.

You should also, check with you homeowners insurance company they may have a load requirement.
