access to systemattributes

there are many systemattributes you can access from a note in drafting. My problem when I want to access an object attribute from the component(filter), in the dialog there is no attribute listed the system attributes not listed like $COMPONENT_NAME, $MASS, $NAME, $PART_NAME, the ok button is greyed out. Is there a trick a workaround to access them when there is nothing listed

Sorry, system attributes are not available for use in filters.

Sorry, but we are working on a new attribute architecture which long term may resolve issues like this. It's too early to tell exactly how it will all play together since we first have to get the basics working and then we'll look at how to pull in the other ideas.
