Accessing Dimesions thru the API

Hi all,

I am doing some digging for one of our developers who is creating a 3rd party app for Inventor.

He needs some way to link a property to a measurement on a part. I know that Inventor is capable of this because we have seen it demonstrated thru Inventor itself. I guess the question is how to do this through the API?

any ideas?

What do you mean by "through the API"? I know you can link to any dimension by accessing "Parameters" through the Tools pull-down menu. Is that what you're referring to?

The custom app we are creating talks directly with the Inventor API, so no menus or pull downs are used.
