Dear any concerned people
Recently one Acrylic storage tank fractured in size of 4m diameter(thk 50mm), 5m height
this was built 12 years ago.
Several expert say that this would be caused by Seismic load in value of richter scale 3.0
at that time. And Acrylic degradition for lomg time since this built.
This storage tank is installed inside of building for a fish Aqua nearby window sunshine,
so Acrylic material degradation would be caused by UV
When I calculate the required thickness is of 46mm in accordance with ASME RTP-1
and now checking Shell stress effected by Seismic load.

Anyone have similar experience like this situation, pls recomemend any advice why this happened
I also recommended that material test shell be done and compare its material properties between new one and fractured one what is going on material degradition.

Kind regards
