hi,
what kind of info are you looking for? normally, activated carbon plants are designed based on experimental data as well as the activated carbon selection for a specific application. activated carbon specifications are useful for selecting the most adequate activated carbon for a given application but won't give you enough data for designing the plant. experimental tests will depend on the type of application(gas phse, liquid phase...) and carbon (powder, granular, cloth...) but are preety standard. you can check testing procedures on the activated carbon ASTM standards and also on the activated carbon producers websites, like Norit or Lurgi for instance. in those sites you'll also find guidelines on the selection of the appropriate carbon and its most important physical/chemical properties. if you have a specific application let me know and maybe i'll be able to send some information since i've done some experimental work on powder activated carbon.
regards,
susana
