Activated carbon production process

Hi,

Can somebody provide me the details steps/process involved in industrially producing activated carbon using coconut shells. And the machines used for each of the individual steps/process.

Its probably no more than drying oven (to remove water and contaminating organics) and prolytizing kiln (oxygen free) to convert to carbon and probably a hook conveyor to semi-continuously transfer the organic product.

Hi All,

I got to know the process which is somewhat like the below....

Crushing(coconut shells) -> Drying -> carbonization -> activation -> tumbling(granules).

Pl validate & tell me if I am right? Also if tell me if there are any more steps/process, if I am to produce the activated carbon industrially...

There's a steam etch in there, and more. Again, look it up FIRST, then ask specific questions! I'm not fond of doing people's research for them, but am happy to contribute any knowledge I have to what they've managed to find on their own.
