I have an existing compressed air installation where I need to increase the working pressure of the system from 125 psig to 175 psig. There are a couple of 3/4" cast brass fittings in the system and I am trying to determine if I need to replace them or not to meet the higher pressure. In looking around the internet and various reference texts I have not found a solid reference that says that a class 125 fitting is rated to ### psi at a temp. One reference that I did find was a note from a Merit Brass stating that Class 125 fittings are good for 200 PSIG at 72°F, however I do not know if I can apply this across all MFGs.
Anyone run across a reference or dealt with this previously?
