Try to stay on topic.

Seems like a positive to me...

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand

Brim, your comment seems to be not on topic.

Solutions, the topic of the forum. Small reactors can help.

That was just the safety of the reactor itself. Takes a lot more paperwork before the reactor can be incorporated into a power plant. Interesting that the project is at the Idaho Natonal Lab, which has been working on nuclear power since the late 1940's.

They are estimating a cost of about 6.5 US cents per kWh. People are holding their hands up in horror (probably about twice what coal gets), but compared with the what generators are getting here is Oz at the moment (14 USc/kWh) that is an absolute bargain.

Gotta talk to Brother Maynard about that.

Sorry I know I'm detracting, myself. I was just cracking myself up in my own head and hoped someone else might get a laugh.

"Much of the nonsense uploaded to these threads originates from US and Oz" ... presumably you're lumping Canada in with "US" ?

Enjoy your Brexit,
enjoy your upcoming blackouts (when the wind farms don't produce),
or worse, asking the French for some of their (nuke) power.
