Adams Template builder 4

hello sir

thank you for you kind replying so fast when one is in need.

my very important question is that i can't get into template builder in adams/car .

the option to choose standard interface or ttemplate builder does not appear at the welcome ...

does template builder need any special access ????

if not , how can i use it ???

I don't think it is on the welcome screen, I vaguely remember it is in the Tools menus.

i'm using msc adams 2018 and I have looked through all over adams/car for it …

I have read help menus , looked all over Tools menu and also I know ,as it is said in help pdfs, that I must be able to change mode from standard interface to template builder from Tools menu , I have also tried database management but not single clue ...

Hi bj7777,

Well, the solution for your issue is to following the next steps :

1. search after acar folder and open it,

2. search after acar file and open it with Notepad (acar file is a .cfg file),

3. modify the acar.cfg file : !ENVIRONMENT MDI_ACAR_USERMODE template_builder .

4. save the update and close the file.

5. now search after .acar.cfg in your Windows User folder (something like "C:\User\...\.acar.cfg"),

6. open the file .acar.cfg and modify it as : ENVIRONMENT MDI_ACAR_USERMODE expert .

7. save the update and close the file.

8. reopen ADAMS Car.
