I am trying to find out that if an 1/4" NPT x 1/2" NPT adapter is intalled on a 1/4" NPT pressure transmitter; then do I need to keep into consideration the operating pressure in the pipe line where the transmitter will be installed?

Its usually easiest to install the reducer when the operating pressure is zero. Besides that... as long as the reducer is of the same or heavier schedule and equal or better material than the other components there should be no problem. The only thing I'd look at would be if the stub out is getting a bit long and does the transmitter weigh enough to bend the pipes.

Thank you. I appreciate your help

We do have hydraulic circuits, and even outlets, but sorry ... no adapters. :)
