Hi guys,

I want to create title blocks for various paper sizes and put them in the drawing resources/title blocks folder. I know how to create a new title block and have it in the drawing resources/title blocks folder of the drawing that it was created in, but I do not know how to permanently put it in the drawing resources folder and have it available universally whenever I create a new drawing in any project. It would be nice just to change the sheet size then drop in the appropriate title block. any help? Thanks guys!

Drawing Resources are on a per drawing level. There is NOT a global drawing resource folder by design.

Now in order to alleviate your issue you can do one of a couple things...

1. Use the Drawing Resource Transfer Wizard in Inventor programs list and batch that TB into all of your files.
2. Write an iLogic routine that looks at your template and pulls it in whenever you want.

Lastly, I assume you created a new drawing template with this TB in it so whenever you start a new file from that template, that drawing TB would always be in it.

Each time you've created the new TB save drawing as template in C:\...\Autodesk\Inventor [current version]\Templates

okay, the light bulb went on about a half hour after I started this thread. for some reason it didn't occur to me to create the title blocks and save them within one of the template drawings (didn't eat my wheaties) Thanks for the responses guys!
