I create a diameter dimension for a hole and would like to add the depth to the dimension using the depth symbol. Is this possible? When I select the "Insert text after" manipulator, the symbols can't be accessed. When I right click the dimension and select properties, the suffix text field under the "dimension text" tab is greyed out, because the diameter symbol is used as a prefix.

I could create a leader text note, but would prefer not to.

This is a pain, but it's just as easy to create a text, put it where you want, and then right click the text, and create a positonal link. That way, no matter where the dimension moves, the text goes with it.

I was hoping their was another way, but that will work.

Thanks much!

A much easier way: start a normal text, insert the symbol needed, then copy paste it into the dimension texts field as needed.

Good suggestion, but it doesn't work for all characters...
