Is there a way to modify Hole Wizard, so that there are fine metric tap sizes such as M8x1 or M10x1.5, M18x1 etc.
I’m trying to eliminate manual typing, which leaves too much room for errors.
As of right now, I have to change the “M10x1.75 tapped hole 1” to “M10x1.5 tapped hole 1” in the feature tree manually, and I also change tap dia. In the second sketch form 8.25 to 8.5, just so I remember to change hole callout in the part drawing later. Definitely not a good practice…
Any suggestion will be much appreciated…

Yes there is.

1) Start SW and go to Tools\Options\System Options
2) Pick on "Data Options"
3) Click on Standards Tab highlight the DB you want to copy
4) Type in a new name above and click "Create"
5) Click over to "Edit data Tab"
6) Scroll down to Test and Expand then sroll down to Hole Wizard holes and Expand
7) There you can pick Straight holes or Tapped holes and you can modify those DB (databases)

You will see that there are more that just the new DB that you made. There are DB's for the Hole Wizard holes plus the TB parts. If there is a Lock on them, they are not Editable.

SBaugh,

The hole callout for the new holes doesn't work...
It doesn't recogrize them as tapped holes of the hole wizard.
For M8x1 it gives me 7.0 dia. callout.
Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.
