Hi,
I am currently modelling an adhesive layer (in the process of which orphan mesh is involved). The adhesive layer is used to connect two masonry blocks together. This layer is meant to act like a glue (using traction-separation damage), which once passed the maximum stress, etc, cracking initiates at the interface of the two blocks and separation propagates.
I was wondering if the adhesive layer has to be connected to the blocks (using either different type of constraints or interactions), or it acts like a glue itself and doesn't need connecting.
Thank you
