Maybe someone have idea why per Boeing SRM typical Aft Pressure Bulkhead Web repair, repair doubler must
be install on Aft side of initial web.
And fasteners with the driven head on the Aft Pressure Bulkhead Web.

Thanks

Can you tell us which Boeing aircraft this is?
I can only guess without reading the specific SRM and repair you're looking at.
Where are the existing doublers on the bulkhead? Are they all on the aft side, too?
It may be that the existing doublers, and some known repairs, detailed by Boeing's original type design were all on the aft side, so the detailed cases in the SRM are only substantiated on the aft face installation case, because they only used the data applicable to that side.

The pressure bulkhead failed on Japan Air 123 due to a faulty repair and the inability to inspect the continued crack growth under the repair. I'm not sure if this is relevant to what you're asking, but I remember seeing it on the show "Mayday" (also called "Seconds from Disaster" and "Air Crash Investigation" depending on which media market it's being played in). This was season 3 episode 3 "Out of Control". Here's a link to the YouTube video of the episode:

Remember, first define the problem, then solve it.

This is B767-300,-200 SRM, logical it is to install repair doubler on the fwd side of the bulkhead web, because cabin there is pressurize area and web concave to aft direction....

I guess the reason "why?" is nice to know, and it may only be "that's how we did it. sure it could have been on the inside, but we put it on the outside".

Whatever, either you follow the Boeing repair, completely, or you make your own repair and substantiate it.

Btw, if you're doing your own repair, copying someone else's and saying your one is "equivalent" is a bit of a cheat ... since you don't have the analysis supporting the copied design, and some airworthiness folks won't buy it.

another day in paradise, or is paradise one day closer ?

I go to perform repair per Boeing SRM, but it interesting for me.
That is all.
