If I age 7075-T6 sheet material to T76 will it maintain it's MRS QUALITY?

Unless I misunderstand the situation,
Since the first step in the T7 process is at a lower temp than the T6 that this material has already seen it would need to be annealed before you tried to take it to T76.
The min acceptable strengths for T76 are lower than for T6,and the elongation requirement is higher.

It is probably technically quite possible to meet the T76 requirements, but how do you validate your two step approach when you have gone off-road from ASTM or SAE?
I agree with EdS, start over again.
