Hi Everyone,

I did a tensile test for the material. The material shows some aging effect close to the yield. I am not sure how can I implement the plastic part in the Abaqus. If I use the offset approach to find the yield stress, then what should I do for the aging effect in the plastic part (the part that has been shown in the dotted ellipse). Should I delete that part from the plastic material input or I should include that? What is the best way to define these kinds of material in Abaqus?

Hi,
I think you can consider to do like this:
Property module, material create->Edit Material->Mechanical ,Plasticity,Plastic; then you can input the data of ture stress-ture plastic strain into the table;
And the true plastic strain can be calculated by true strain substracting the elastic part.
Hope it will be helpful to you.
