Dear all,
Does someone knows something about an air compressor, able to reach 30-40 Bars, and driven by a DC12V electric motor (or with a pulley)?
As light as possible (#4kg is the limit)
The only ones I've found were able to rech 10Bars. The required flow is not defined yet.

Is an air booster, with a ratio of 4, placed after this compressor the only real way to get this amount of pressure? But obviously not the more efficient.

Thanks for your help,
P.

Regulus,
[You might want to post this in the new "Gas Compression" forum that we're trying to get off the ground, not much activity there yet]

You are trying to develop 40 ratios. Your discharge temperature will be over 550C (1,032F). You can do this in a 3 stage recip, but interstage cooling is essential if you don't want to go to really exotic materials.

Getting that into a 4kg package will be really tough.
