Air diffuser fouling in aeration

Would anyone please tell me how to reduce the fouling of air diffuser used in aeration. I tried to use coating on the surface of the air diffuser but it seems to very difficult, and i don't know what kind of materials i can use for coating. Thanks for answering this question..

If you are using the sintered type of diffuser, you could consider switching to the flexible membrane type.

You might want to find out what the fouling is. In some cases it can be an inorganic component such as CaSO4 or a phosphate. In both cases adding some acid to the air might help you.

Thanks for your help to answer my question, but my industry has sorted the problems in air side of fouling but we are focusing on the liquid side fouling of the diffuser. Now i am trying to use some coating material to spray on the air diffuser surface and try to reduce to fouling. Could you give me some idea for using any specific coating material? Thanks for answering my question.

rubber membrane diffuser may help,
but the rubber membrane becomes agin after 3-5 years.
The slits / orifices remain open, sludge and solids could get in. Cause cloggin.
Submersible aerator could be a better choice.
