Air Leak Test

Hi, i have a requirement of Air leak test with max pressure of 2psi for the Day tank Assembly (In-between outer tank and primary tank)
please advise how we shall do this , the tank is made from 6mm plate of A36

what size are the tanks?
what code or standard were the tanks designed to?
were the tanks designed for pressure and vacuum?
are the tanks anchored?
what type of fixed roofs do the tanks have?
will the tanks be empty otherwise?
where are you trying to find leaks?
if it is the shell you are looking for leaks on, can you propose a vacuum box instead of pressure test?
2 psig is the equivalent about 4.6 feet of water
this should be no problem for the outer tank shell but may be an issue for the inner tank

You usually need to ensure that there is no pressure difference between the annulus and the inner tank.

Otherwise you risk collapsing the inner tank.

I don't really follow your description - can you explain better / add a drawing?

Do you mean the annulus between the two tanks is being used as a separate storage volume all of its own?
