I was wondering if anyone knows if Air purifiers that supposedly kill viruses and bacteria using chemical processes are under the purview of Health Canada? I've heard it might fall under the Health Canada Pest Management Regulatory Agency. Is there any truth to that?

IMO, the most efficatios technology is not chemical treatment , rather take a look at the various ultraviolet air treatments. This is a bit of a contentious issue and be prepared for differring opinions.

I agree with miningman. Adding chemicals to air doesn't sound like a good way to make air better.

There are ionizers must stay under the voltage that produces ozone!)and UV that don't contaminate the air.
