How do you properly apply section E4 for single angles? For single angles, neither the y-axis nor the x-axis is the axis of symmetry. The w-axis is the axis on symmetry. Should I replace F[sub]ey[/sub] with F[sub]ew[/sub], by using r[sub]w[/sub] and L[sub]cw[/sub]? This approach would be consistent with the User Note concerning channels.

Hey...didn't realized they'd released the new stainless standard. Neat. Sorry - haven't had a need of it yet, so I don't have a copy and I'm not familiar with it. Perhaps somebody else can chime in. So everyone knows: this appears to be AISC 370 Specification for Structural Stainless Steel Buildings, not AISC 360 (the more common structural steel spec).
