As a member of AISC, you can download all the design guides for free. If you are not a member, I recommend that you join. The cost of membership is very small, and with all the free publications you can download, is very good bargain.

We actually got the company to pay dues for the 4 structurals in the office to join as an office. The difference in cost is minimal for a small group vs. a single membership. ($135 solo vs $160 for the group)

Additionally, the savings on the 13th ed steel manual for members vs. non-members paid the dues. ($175 dollar savings)

Add in the savings on the Seismic Manual (another $175)

The free publications for members are just gravey.

Design Guides or the example problems? I believe the examples are only available on CD. As indicated, the guides are available for download.

Hi ajh1,

As Structures Guy pointed out, we need to be a member to download em it seems..

You don't have to be a member to obtain the guides. AISC just charges you for them.
