Hey Everyone,

Does any know anywhere or anyone that would be willing to part ways with their 2nd edition Steel Manual? I've been gradually collecting of the past decade and this is the last one I don't have. I do realize this is the rarest of the editions, but wanted to reach out to the community to see if there was one for sale somewhere. I have struck out trying to use Ebay and other sites.

Thanks in advance!

I have hardcopies of all the manuals, but I am not selling them. Have you tried Abe Books, and Powells?

Haha, I just looked at what I have, and my 4th edition has a price of $1.75 written inside, and I know that was when it was new. So about $30 today. I'd love it if that's what engineering books cost.

There are a few 2nd edition listings on Ebay currently - FWIW, I seem to have better luck finding them using "American Institute of Steel Construction manual 2nd edition" fully spelled out. Also, as I am sure you're aware, be prepared to shell out if you find a copy in any sort of reasonable condition - there are a few listings north of $500 right now.

Thanks scottp62SE! Was able to buy one of the ones off of EBAY. There was one way cheaper than all the others for $100. Its more worn but liked the history that came along with it. The engineer that used it designed the North and South Grand Island bridges over the Niagara River. Thought it was pretty cool especially since I did not want to spend $500. Thanks again!
