Hi,
I want to know that how much reinforcement allow for
drum to falthead welding by submerged arc welding?
Is it different for ASME SecI & Sec IV?
Pls. let me know

max reinforcement is given in table PW-33, and depends on the thickness of the parent metal, and the type of weld (circf. in pipe and tube or other).

I don't know about sect IV.

Sec IV is more forgiving in the construction of
low pressure, I would use the same criteria construction as Sec I for the higher pressures,
since there are no rules it is safer that way,
note that some Companies even xray the long-seams in Sec IV
as well because they want to be asured of the quality,
I may do the same in the future.
