I am looking for allowable vibration values for centrifugal pumps(HSC or VT) driven by reciprocating diesel engine. As far as question of available international standards like HIS-9.6.4 & ISO-10816-7, is concerned, There is no explanation given on method of drive in these standards. In fact, there will be an obvious difference between motor driven & engine driven centrifugal pump’s vibration values because of excessive vibrations transmittal from the diesel engine to pump.
Shall I request you to let me know specific reference on “Allowable Vibration Values in Centrifugal Pumps driven by Reciprocating Diesel Engine”.

Another attachment in the form of a bar graph provided by PMC/BETA Corporation Back in 1999, we had a vibration issue with one of our construction equipment and this sheet is one of four and the most telling.

Thanks, Friend. Really it gives a fair idea about the engine driven machinery. However the given values are for engine driven generator set. Since generator and centrifugal pump, both are balanced type machines, we can refer to the data. I just want to make sure that vibration values within the range 0.5 to 0.7in/sec or more are alarm values and efforts should be carried out to minimize them.
In another curve, the vibration frequency CPM should be understood as RPM or rotations per minute. Is it so, Please confirm.
